Thursday Night Out

Start your weekends early! Beginning May 24th Thursday Night Out will highlight a different region every month – May, Asian Fusion; June, South of the Border; July, All American Summer and August, European Rendezvous. Updated menu options, fresh ethnic music and entertainment, festive décor and new participating restaurants will add to the enjoyment of spending your Thursday nights in Downtown Oak Park.

How it Works
Thursday Night Out runs every Thursday between May 24th and August 30th from 5pm-9pm. $12 ticket booklets contain 4 dine-around tickets. Ticket booklets are available at the Downtown Oak Park kiosk at Lake and Marion Thursday nights from 5pm-9pm. Each booklet contains 4 dine-around tickets and one voucher for $2.50 off two adult priced movie tickets. One dine-around ticket is good for one item off the Thursday Night Out menu – menu available at downtownoakpark.net and changes monthly. For every two ticket booklets purchased, customers receive one complimentary $5 DTOP gift certificate good at over 25 participating stores on Thursday evenings during the TNO season.

More than 20 Downtown Oak Park restaurants offer a variety of drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts on the TNO menu and allow you to eat inside or carry out. Tables are also set up outside to enjoy live entertainment while dining al fresco. New participating restaurants this year include Crumbs Bake Shop, Hutong Café, Munch and Lake Street Kitchen + Bar.

This year’s new line-up of cultural entertainment includes Filipino folk fusion, steel drums, mariachi, Polynesian dancers, show tunes, Mr. D’s House of Magic, square dancing, Russian balalaika, and more as well as weekly kids’ favorite balloon twister, David Lyons. A full entertainment schedule is available online at downtownoakpark.net.

Downtown Oak Park encourages Thursday Night Out participants to take their dishes to-go and dine while watching Oak Park Festival Theatre. Inherit the Wind runs from June 16 through July 16 in Austin Gardens with performances Thursday through Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 7:00 p.m. Visit oakparkfestival.com for more information.
