CLARK WEBER'S ROCK 'N' ROLL ROOTS

Why Go: As program director and disc jockey at WLS, Clark Weber "chose the playlists back when rock ‘n’ roll was clean and the Chicago River was dirty," and he'll share tales from his book at this special appearance.

LOS PERROS CUBANOS AT MAYA DEL SOL
When/Where: Friday evening at , 144 S. Oak Park Ave. in Oak Park.
Why Go: Chef Ruben Beltran is firing off crazy-good Mexican dishes, the outdoor fire pit is crackling, the waiters will bring blankets to patio diners and the throwback Cuban tunes of Los Perros Cubanos will keep things interesting all night. Viva musica! Viva Maya!

THE INTERRUPTERS AT THE LAKE THEATRE
When/Where: Three showtimes on Thursday at the , 1022 Lake St. in Oak Park.
Why Go: The limited local run of this by Oak Parkers Steve James and Alex Kotlowitz ends Thursday.
Price: $8.50 general admission; $6 for children, seniors and matinees.

THE OK CLASSIC SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT
When/Where: 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Forest Park ballfields, 7501 Harrison St.
Why Go: Team registration is full, but you can still cheer on the 20 softball squads in this annual tournament, which serves as a fundraiser for the River Forest-based Opportunity Knocks.
Price: Free to spectate; donations accepted.

CHOCOLATE TOUR VIA SEGWAY
When/Where: By reservation; begins at Oak Park Segway, 715 Lake St., and lasts two hours.
Why Go: Sample delicious chocolate treats from Brown Cow Ice Cream, , Ferrara Chocolate, La Maison de Bonbon and Todd & Holland Tea Merchants, then walk — er, roll — it off while zipping around on this guided tour.
