New Wire Work Classes at Bead In Hand

Bead In Hand in Oak Park is delighted to introduce new wire work classes and a new teacher starting in July.  Laurence Pommells, of Dragon Faiya Kreations, shares his love of working with wire and natural stones while teaching how to make rings, earrings, necklaces and more.  Three classes are scheduled for July 12, 19 and 26.  July 12 is Rings, Things & More Things!  In this class students will learn 3 different wrapping techniques for making simple wired rings as well as adding tumbled (non-drilled) stones and drilled stones, and how to finish pieces to ensure they are secure and comfortable.  July 19 is Earrings: Go Freeform, Caged or Hoop it Up!  Learn to use wire as a design element for earrings (or pendants) and add stones or beads that are secure and beautiful.  Learn different wrapping techniques for making freeform, caged or hoop earrings.  Finally, July 26 is Links, Chains & Necklaces, OH MY!   Students will learn how to create their own links, how to assemble them into a chain, and design variations for link making and chain assembly.  Class fees: $30 per class; materials are extra.  Advance registration is required and can be made via PayPal on our website, by phone or a visit to the shop.  Bead In Hand, 145 Harrison Street, Oak Park, www.beadinhand.com, 708.848.1761.
