Last night I was thrilled to attend the Macy's wedding fashion show at Roof on the Wit and saw some beautiful designs. I'm super excited about the latest trends that hit the runway for 2013.
Trend #1: Organza & Chiffon
These lightweight sheer fabrics were everywhere! Voluminous layers of chiffon and organza were used in both ball gowns and even mermaid and fit & flair silhouettes, creating a modern yet ethereal look.
Trend #2: Color
A touch of blush and even light blues were often peeking through the layers of chiffon.
Trend #3: Illusion Necklines
Illusion necklines are great for a more modest look. One dress featured a lace victorian neckline that could be unbuttoned and then taken off when it was time to party at the reception!
Trend #4: Assymetrics
One shoulder dresses were seen in both bridal and bridesmaid fashion. But it was the assymetric backs that I found to be really stunning.
Trend #5: Buns
Of course, hair is another part of style and fashion, and the classic thick bun was a favorite on the runway.
