Brooks Eighth Grade Boys' Basketball Team Wins Village Tournament

The eighth grade boys' basketball team from Brooks Middle School captured first place in the fourth annual Oak Park-River Forest Al Allen Village Tournament

The eighth grade boys’ basketball team from Brooks Middle School bested six teams from the area to capture first place in the fourth annual Oak Park-River Forest Al Allen Village Tournament, which was held at Oak Park-River Forest High School. In addition to taking the top honor, Brooks also had three players—Eddie Gorens, Jimmie Hicks and Jared Scott—named to the all-tournament team.

The Brooks team was coached by Megan VerVynck and Lenard Robertson, and its roster included the following students:
