Brooks Student Reaches Finals of International Art Contest

Stacey Sevriukova, an eighth grade student from Brooks Middle School, has been named a finalist in the international judging portion of the Lions International Peace Poster Contest.

Stacey Sevriukova, an eighth grade student from Brooks Middle School who won the statewide competition held in conjunction with the Lions International Peace Poster Contest, has been named a finalist in the international judging portion of the competition. The grade prize and merit award winners will be announced on Friday, February 1, 2013.

The contest, which is sponsored by Lions Clubs International, “encourages young people worldwide to express their visions of peace.” More than four million children from nearly 100 countries have participated in the contest during the past 25 years.
