Avenue Ale House to Host Christopher Swordy Fundraiser
Avenue Ale House in Oak Park will host a fundraiser to support the family of an Oak Park man and former employee who died suddenly last weekend.
Avenue Ale House, 825 S. Oak Park Ave. in Oak Park, on Friday, July 26, will host a fundraiser for the family of Christopher Swordy, a 22-year-old Oak Park man who was struck and killed by a speeding car last Saturday.
"Recently, we tragically lost a wonderful friend and employee (of) the Avenue Ale House. We are working our best to raise as much as we can to help out the Swordy Family in this time of need," a notice left on restaurant tables reads.
Avenue Ale House will be selling raffle tickets for $5 each this week, with prizes from local businesses (see more info in photo above).
