Warmer weather means more great reasons to get out and explore Oak Park and River Forest.

ROCK OUT FOR A CAUSE
When/Where: 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday at FitzGerald's, 6615 Roosevelt Road in Berwyn.
Why go: Proceeds from this double bill concert, featuring The Webstirs and The Contractors will benefit, the Oak Park-based resource agency for abused women and their families.

When/Where: 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday in the Oak Park Arts District, located on Harrison Street on the nine blocks west of Austin boulevard on Harrison Street.
Why go: More than 50 artists will display their work at this springtime event, which also features a magic show, live music, food, mimes and much more.

Why go: Chill and participate with the Buddhist community as they work on the center's World Peace Garden. Pizza, snacks and conversation provided.

A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC

3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at The Circle Theatre, 1010 Madison St. in Oak Park.
Why go: Enjoy a matinée performance of A Little Night Music, "a witty and urbane musical set in waltz time" and based on Ingrid Berman's film Smiles of a Summer Night.
