ST. PATRICK'S DAY FESTIVAL AT FITZGERALD'S
When/Where: Doors open at noon Thursday at FitzGerald's, 6615 Roosevelt Road in Berwyn.
Why Go: The annual bash returns with food from next-door Wishbone, music and performances from the Mayer School of Irish Dancing, the Dooley Brothers, and the Lost and Nameless Orchestra. At night, Tributosaurus will transform into Van Morrison. Note: kids are welcome all day until 10 p.m.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND AT THE CIRCLE THEATRE
When/Where: 7 p.m. Thursday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday at the Circle Theatre's 1010 Madison St. location in Oak Park.
Why Go: Feed your head with a trip down the rabbit hole. This family-friendly theatrical version recreates the 1951 Disney film.

MEET ILLUSTRATOR JAN SPIVEY GILCHRIST AT MAGIC TREE
When/Where: 1 p.m. Saturday at, 141 N. Oak Park Ave. in Oak Park.
Why Go: Illustrator and artist Jan Spivey Gilchrist visits for a signing of The Great Migration. The book signing event also includes a presentation about the book and a contest — the winner of which gets the portait treatment by the illustator.
THE BOOGERS, IN CONCERT
When/Where: 4 p.m. Sunday at , 6445 W. North Ave. in Oak Park
Why Go: Crusty, Sticky and Greenie (accomplished musicians, all) will perform their special brand of rock that's noisy and fun for kids and cool for parents.

VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR STORYTIME AND CRAFTING
When/Where: 1 p.m. Sunday at the , 141 N. Oak Park Ave. in Oak Park.
Why Go: Eric Carle's Very Hungry Caterpillar, widely considered a kid's classic since it debuted in 1969, will be read during a special storytime. Kids will also partake in a craft session based on the book.
