Deadline extended for proposals to redesign Village web site

Verify contractor status online
Verifying the status of a contractor’s license and insurance is just a mouse click away. A feature on the Village website at www.oak-park.us/onlineservices searches the Building & Property Standards Department permit tracking database to determine if a contractor’s credentials with the Village are up to date. This step can help avoid unnecessary delays since a contractor’s license and insurance must be current for a permit to be issued. The Village does not recommend contractors for any work or provide an opinion on a contractor’s past performance. Any contractor who provides the proper documentation may register to perform work within the Village. For more information on building related matters, call 708.358.5430 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
