23rd Annual Chicago Tribune North Michigan Avenue Art Festival

Pioneer Court, on Michigan Avenue next to the Tribune Tower in downtown Chicago, will once again be transformed into an outdoor art gallery featuring the finest artists in the country.  Festival patrons can expect to see a wide array of original art with broad appeal and prices set to suit all budgets. Admission is free and open to the public.

Festival Hours:

Friday, July 11, 10am – 6pm

Saturday, July 12, 10 am – 6pm

Sunday, July 13, 10am – 5pm

The artists, present for the duration of the event, will line North Michigan Avenue, opposite the Wrigley building, along the Chicago River in their professional white-tented booths.  Festival patrons are encouraged to engage the artists as they stroll through the exhibits to gain a better understanding of their styles, techniques and inspiration. Many locals and tourists return to these shows each year eager to explore the new work of favorite artists and discover emerging talent.

“Chicago is a culture rich city and the downtown area is a perfect venue for our art show,” says festival promoter Howard Alan.  “We strive to bring the finest artists from around the country as well as top local talent.  Diversity is key, we guarantee a wide variety of original artwork and a myriad of styles and media, there is something for everyone.”

This art event has been consistently voted one of the top 100 outdoor-juried art festivals in the country by Sunshine Artist magazine and attracts locals and tourists alike. All artists are juried by an independent panel of expert judges and hand-selected from hundreds of applicants based on quality and diversity in order to ensure a wide array of art that will appeal to a variety of art enthusiasts and collectors as well as casual shoppers.   All of the artwork is original and handmade in America. Prices will range from $25 hand designed earrings to $50,000 sculptures.

An Art Giveaway will give festival patrons an opportunity to win artwork by mixed media artist Enrique Suarez. The prize, “Lovely Rose” (24” x 36” ) will be on display at his booth where registration will also take place. The winner will be announced during the final hour of the art show.  No purchase will be necessary to participate in this giveaway
