"A Night in Paris" - 2014 Hemingway Birthday Celebration

Hemingway's Paris takes over the Scoville Square

Building with cocktails, French delicacies and live music on the evening

of Saturday, July 19!

Celebrate Ernest Hemingway's 115th

birthday with readings from Hemingway's Paris letters by Sandra Spanier,

editor of the Hemingway Letters Project. The second volume of Hemingway's

collected letters feature missives to Ezra Pound, Scott Fitzgerald and

other heros and heroines of the 1920s expatriate community in France.

A pop-up exhibit of never-before-shown clothing and artifacts from the

Hemingway Archives -- including a ball gown worn by Hemingway's mother

Grace and an authentic WWI dress uniform -- shows off the Hemingway

family's fashion and passion for art.

Join us from 7 p.m. to

10 p.m. at 137 N. Oak Park Avenue. Step into the Paris of yesteryear,

and be sure to wear your 1920s finest!
