Tonight two sets by an 11-piece expanded version of The Fat Babies, an orchestra playing music from the 1920s for a great night of dancing.

The Fat Babies are a jazz band interpreting classic styles of the 1920s and 30s. Founded in 2010 by string bass player Beau Sample, its core members include Andy Schumm (cornet), John Otto (reeds), Dave Bock (trombone), Jake Sanders (banjo and guitar), Paul Asaro (piano), and Alex Hall (drums).

The Fat Babies have two albums out on the Delmark Record label including their brand new release for 2013, "18th & Racine."

"Few young musicians focus on pre-bebop jazz as intensely as the Fat Babies, and fewer still dispatch repertoire by Jelly Roll Morton, Joe "King" Oliver and other vintage masters with comparable tonal luster and knowledge of period style." Howard Reich, Chicago Tribune

Admission is $10.
