Chicago Grandstand Big Band's Umpteenth Annual Big Band Christmas Party plus OPRF High School Jazz Ensemble

Chicago Grandstand Big Band, with vocalist Julie Ann Caselli, is excited to present their "Umpteenth Annual Big Band Christmas Party.  Santa will be there as well as some guest musicians.  Opening for us will be the stellar Oak Park/River Forest High School Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Anthony Svedja. This award winning ensemble won first place for the past 2 years at the Purdue University High School Jazz Festival. There will be fantastic performances from these fine musicians with great solos and excellent ensemble playing. This is one excellent group of fantastic musicians and should not be missed. They will play one set beginning at 5 pm and then Chicago Grandstand Big Band will start performing at6 PM, playing traditional Christmas music as arranged for big band. Our "Singing Saucy Santa" will be there as well, arriving towards the end of our first set. He will visit with the kids, pass out goodie bags (while they last) and sing some tunes with us as well, including a premiere of an original tune that Santa wrote. There will be a few other surprise guests sitting in with us.
