Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. "Community Empowerment Day" Saturday, April 12th
The Glen Ellyn Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is sponsoring its annual Community Empowerment Day on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. This community event provides an opportunity for local businesses, non-profits, governmental agencies, and other community serving entities to provide information and goods and services intended for the betterment of the community.
This is a one-day event designed to help educate the local community, with an emphasis on self-improvement opportunities. Our goal is to help empower attendees through economic responsibility, educational access, health and well-being, social action, and international awareness. We seek to improve the quality of life in our communities.
Community Empowerment Day is a powerful FREE event that provides our community with resources and information in alignment with our sorority’s five point programmatic thrust. Our chapter has partnered with over 30 local businesses, non-prof...its, government agencies and other community serving entities to provide information, goods and services intended for the community.
