Theatre continues its First Tuesday Film Club into September with independent
director Joss Whedon’s adaptation of William Shakespeare’s classic comedy “Much Ado About Nothing” [2012]. This
special showing will take place on Tuesday,
September 3rd at 12PM and 7PM. Shot in black and white, Whedon’s “Much Ado About Nothing” is a modern romantic comedy about two pairs of lovers with contrasting ideas of romance. After its debut at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival, this feature took home both the 13th Belfast Film Festival Audience Award, as well as the IFF Boston Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature. Tickets are $6 for matinee/seniors and $8.50 for adults. Advance tickets are available online or at the Lake Theatre box office, located at 1022 Lake Street.
