Holiday Line & Round Dance Workshop at the Oak Park Arms

Roberta Kulik will teach a holiday line and round dance workshop at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 12, at the Oak Park Arms, 408 S. Oak Park Ave. She will teach user friendly steps and choreography.

The “carol” is the most documented form of dance during the Middle Ages which consisted of a group of dancers holding hands. This was usually done in a circle with the participants dancing while singing in a leader and refrain style. As the dancers in the circle held hands, the general progression was to the left with simple steps.

The Oak Park Arms is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay - a weekend, a week, a month or longer.

The workshop is free and open to the public. For more information call 708-386-4040 or visit http://www.oakparkarms.com.
