India Yoga Retreat with Nicole Sopko

Join us on retreat in magical Vrindavan, India. This trip of a lifetime will give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in day to day life in this holy city of temples on the banks of the sacred Yamuna River. Vrindavan is like no place you will ever visit. This trip is a perfect introduction to India as you will not have to worry about travel, food, or other issues with our group. The Jiva Institute is a comfortable home base to return to each night after a day of exploring. The Institute itself is also an amazing center of learning and charity for the local community, which you will also be able to take part in. Dates: April 1-11 within India. Does not include travel days.
Your daily schedule: Mornings will consist of hatha yoga practice each day (with Gopi Om/Nicole) and a morning activity or outing. Your afternoons will be free for exploration or massages, facials, music lessons, and other things can be arrange at a (very reasonable) fee. For one week during our stay, we will have the honor of evening classes on Yoga and Ayurveda from the Jiva Institute's founder, Satyanarayana Dasa (known by his followers as "Babji" or respected father), a renown scholar who teachers on these subjects at universities worldwide.

Planned morning outings: To Loi Bazaar for shopping (a great place to pick up Indian clothing and other items), to Agra to see the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, to Mathura the holy site birthplace of Krishna, to visit a traditional small Indian village, to a beautiful Goshalla or cow protection site, for a boat tour on the Yamuna River, on a Parikrama (walking circumambulation) around the village, and more.

Amenities: A beautiful double room (two people to each room) with adjacent private bathroom and lots of monkey-watching. Three fresh vegan meals provided daily. Drinkable water provided on site at no charge. Pre-arranged outings included (Taj Mahal, some temple visits, etc). Transportation to/from the Delhi airport also provided.

Travel to India: Can take a day or two. Please plan to arrive in Delhi by April 1 and coordinate with the organizer to be sure before booking travel. Plan to leave Delhi on April 11th (many flights are very late at night and arrive just a few hours later in the US due to the magic of time zones). Payment: In full is $1250 which includes the details listed above, but does not include airfare. Payment can be made in one or two installations, but must be received in full by January 31st, 2014. Advance deposits are encouraged in order to reserve your spot. Refunds are not available after January 31st, 2014.
