Jazz Vocalist Kurt Elling In Concert at Dominican University

The Dominican University Performing Arts Center will present Grammy Award winning jazz vocalist Kurt Elling on Saturday, October 19, for its President Signature Concert. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Lund Auditorium, 7900 W. Division, River Forest. 
 
Chicago native Elling is regarded as one of the world’s foremost jazz vocalists, winning every DownBeat Critics Poll for the last 13 years. Named “Male Singer of the Year” by the Jazz Journalists Association eight times since 2000, each of Elling’s 10 albums have been nominated for a Grammy, and his album “Dedicated To You: Kurt Elling Sings the Music of Coltrane and Hartman” received the award for Best Jazz Vocal Album. Elling’s latest album, “1619 Broadway – the Brill Building Project” honors and celebrates the spirit of New York City’s Brill Building, the site of where some of the most popular American music tunes were written.
