Music Club: April Love at the Oak Park Arms
The Oak Park Arms Music Club (record spinning club) will feature “April Love,” the music of singing legend Pat Boone, at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 408 S. Oak Park Ave. The event is a salute to the fourth month in celebration and anticipation of Easter, Passover and the beginning of another baseball season in Chicago.
An American singer, actor and writer most successful in the 1950s and early 1960s, Boone has sold more than 45 million albums. During the late 1950s he was the second biggest charting artist, and he still holds the Billboard record for spending 220 consecutive weeks on the charts with at least one song each week.
The Oak Park Arms is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay - a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information call 708-386-4040 or visit www.oakparkarms.com.
