Oak Park's Great Food Truck Rally 2014

FOOD TRUCKS RETURN TO OAK PARK

Pilgrim Congregational Church Hosts Oak Park’s Great Food
Truck Rally 2014

THER'RE BACK! Gourmet food trucks from around the Chicago area will once again converge on Oak Park for the Great Food Truck Rally. This year’s event will take place on Fathers Day, June 15, from 1:00 to 6:00 PM in the parking lot of Pilgrim Congregational Church at 460 Lake Street in Oak Park.

“Pilgrim Church is excited to bring these fabulous food trucks to Oak Park for a second time,” said Senior Pastor Sally Iberg. This year 16 different vendors will serve up a wide range of savories and sweets, and plenty of food will be available all afternoon. Savory items will include empanadas, tacos, pasties, curries, jerk chicken, burgers, crepes, and lettuce wraps. Dessert options will include cupcakes, whoopie pies, ice cream sandwiches, and of course—Pilgrim’s famous Farmer’s Market donuts.

Live music will be provided by the Rough Around the Edges Band, The New Normal, Oak Park Farmers Market Band, and others. Pilgrim will also open its doors to host guided tours of its historic church building.

Designed by the architectural firm of Patton and Fisher, Pilgrim’s Queen Anne Revival Style building dates from 1889 and reached its final form in 1900. The building is the oldest structure continuously used for worship in Oak Park and is on the Register of Historic Places.
