Polish Film Festival : Knife in the Water

The Polish Film Festival series continues with the film “Knife in the Water” at 4 p.m. Friday, April 25, at the Oak Park Arms, 408 S. Oak Park Ave. The film will be viewed and reviewed with radio announcer Dan Kane.

The 1962 film follows an aging husband, Andrzej, his wife, Krystyna, and a young hitchhiker they invite along on a sailing trip after they nearly hit him with their car en route.

Directed by Roman Polanski and shot in 1962 with only three actors, the film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1963.
