UniverSoul Circus Camp
As a kickoff to the Chicago stop of the 2013 UniverSoul Circus tour, the circus will host a fun-filled, hands-on, 10-station Circus Camp at Washington Park on September 17 from 3:30-7:30 p.m. Circus Camp is a free event and allows children to have the opportunity to engage in big top acts alongside world-class circus performers to enjoy fun tumbling techniques, balancing tightropes, walking on stilts, getting low with limbo and much more.
Throughout the event, children can visit the variety of skills stations including: Acrobatics & Tumbling, Choreography & Hip Hop Yoga, Caribbean Dance, Limbo and Stilt Walking, Beginner Contortion, Animals, Juggling, High Wire, Clowning Around, Arts and Crafts and a Ringmaster Station which focuses on confidence building and public speaking.
UniverSoul Circus Camp will also feature local Chicago talent, including the Jesse White Tumblers and the South Shore Drill Team. Participants will receive hamburgers and refreshments provided by Moo & Oink.
