206 Oak Street, Maywood, IL

Special Guest Speaker: Congressman Danny K. Davis

As a result of the historic agreement between Housing Helpers, Inc. (HHI), the volunteers and other members of the Coalition for Community Banking, with the support of Congressman Danny Davis, Sarah Lira, executive director of HHI will conduct a tour of the first house being redeveloped in Maywood with financing provided through the Community Restoration Fund established by US Bancorp.

The redevelopment of the vacant/foreclosed
house at 206 Oak Street in Maywood, IL, is the first of three projects by Housing Helpers.  In addition to the financing by US Bancorp, the redevelopment project is also the beneficiary of the State of Illinois DCEO EOGP Pre-Apprentice job-training program managed by the Vision of Restoration, Inc; a subsidiary of Rock of Ages Baptist Church also in Maywood, where Pastor Marvin E. Wiley is CEO.
