Fair Trade Coffee Films to Be Shown Thursday at Whole Foods Market

Screenings come in advance of One Earth Film Festival in early March.

Three documentaries focusing on fair trade coffee issues will be screened starting at 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 21 at Whole Foods Market, 7245 Lake St.

Clips will be shown and discussion will take place afterward.

Black Gold is an award-winning documentary about exploitation of coffee farmers and the profitable global coffee trade.

The screenings are in advance of the second One Earth Film Festival, March 1 through 3 at various locations around Oak Park and River Forest.

This event aims to create opportunities for understanding climate change, sustainability and the power of human involvement.
