Oak Park native Joe Corvo Monday set a team record for the Ottawa Senators when he recorded his 300th shot as a Senator, the Ottawa Sun reported Tuesday.
Joe Corvo became the 45th player to record 300 shots during Monday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers. He'll also play his 700th game of his NHL career Thursday, making him one of the most experienced players in the league, according to the paper.
His response to the stats? "It means I went through a couple of lockouts and missed a bunch of opportunities," he told the Sun.
