"Only Do What Only You Can Do"

As we get ready to approach the New Year, there is a tendency to reflect on the past year and make plans to direct the results of the New Year --- this tendency is fueled by all sorts of media that is directed towards us.

I recently picked up a magazine that was all about balance in life, and, the quote above really spoke to me. In every role in your life, if you look at the task that needs to be accomplished, and, do what only you can do, several things will happen to balance your life.

If the task is something that someone else can do better than you or more easily than you, it gives you permission to let them, freeing you to do the things that only you can do -- two people who are focused on the things that they do best (you and the person who was assigned that task); Everyone wins !!!

And, when that expands to group or family situations, it results in combining the best of the group, family, etc. to result in a distribution of tasks, roles, responsibilities that gives the best result and recognizes that each task is assigned to the person who is the one that can do the job. And, chances are you might also learn a thing or two.

Balance in Life is a nobel goal that takes careful orchestration; one needs to be open to recognizing your own strengths and weaknesses as well as those of others.

May 2014 be a year of balance, health, happiness and love for you and yours !!
