Where to Donate Food Near Oak Park, River Forest (Map)
Patch put together a map of food pantries in the area.
As we prepare for the holidays, food pantries are collecting donations to feed thousands of families in the area who can't afford to buy groceries on their own.
The Oak Park and River Forest Food Pantry, which operates out of First United Church of Oak Park at 848 Lake St., collects food donations that account for 40 percent of the food distributed to 1,400 families monthly.

The North Avenue Business Association is also holding a food drive through Dec. 11, according to Oak Leaves.
