Present: Supervisor David Boulanger, Township Manager Gavin Morgan, Clerk Gregory White, Trustees Mary Cozzens, Clarmarie Keenan, Ade Onayemi, James Taglia, Attorney John Garofalo.
Also Present: Business Manager Jack Norton
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. by Supervisor Boulanger.
Board members approved the minutes of the January 28 meeting and also approved the bills for the period: January 24 through February 6, 2014.
Report On Collaboration For Early Childhood Proposal
The Collaboration for Early Childhood is requesting funds from the Oak Park Township over a two-year period to support the development of a Unified Early Childhood Database. This comprehensive database will enable the Collaboration to collect data related to all the components its strategic plan to ensure that the programs and strategies being implemented across the Oak Park community make a meaningful difference in children’s development. The Unified Early Childhood Database will build on and expand the Publicly Funded Preschool (PFP) Database that was developed and implemented with funding support from Oak Park Township over the past four years.
Discussion took place on the Programs Goals and Measures, Service Delivery Outcome Goals, and System Outcome Goals.
Action Item:
Strategic Planning Retreat
Board members shared comments and agreed to hold a Strategic Planning Session with senior staff for February 22, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Board discussed comments, identified useful topics and defined the outline and format of the Strategic session.
General Assistance and General Government Budget Presentation
The Budget Presentation was made by Township Manager Gavin who stated revenues are about equal to Township’s budget.
Township Manager’s Report
Manager Morgan summarized the highlights of the monthly Revenue and Expenditures Report.
