Present:  Supervisor Carla Sloan;  rustees Mark Kelty and Anna Romeo.

Also in Attendance:  Pat Deadly, township attorney, Assessor Pamela Kende,  Mental Health Administrator Avis Rudner,  Clerk Karen Taubman, Community Center Director Dick Chappell.

Absent:  Veronica Belmonte and Mary O'Brien

 

Supervisor Sloan called the meeting to order at 6:59.

 

Motion passed to approve the minutes of the November 19 meeting.

 

Public Participation:  none

 

Assessor's Report

            Business as usual

 

Mental Health

             Committee members are visiting agencies to assist in determining funding.

                 Applications are being received.

 

Youth

                 Attended a session for working on contracts between Oak Park and River

                  Forest Townships.     

                  A member of the Youth Committee resigned.  

 

Seniors

        Attended a holiday planning meeting.

       Oak Park Township purchased a new bus for seniors.  This bus includes the        name of River Forest on the side.  River Forest did not contribute any funds

        for the purchase of the bus.

        Plans are being developed for Senior Week in May.

 

Supervisor's Report

      Supervisor Sloan will be a member of the Oak Park Township Strategic

      Planning process.

      Township and Community Center will host the January Meeting.

      Superior Sloan attended the Festival of Trees ceremony at Holley Court.

 

Motion passed to approve the bills of $41,078.

Motion passed to approve General Assistance bills of $810.00.

 

New Business

Developing an intergovernmental agreement for Youth Services; it is being requested that River Forest pay more.

 

Motion passed to approve the 2013 levy for township of $561,000.

Motion passed to approve the 2013 levy for General Assistance for $11,000.

Motion passed to approve the schedule of meeting dates for 2014.

 

Supervisor Sloan presented a Credit Card policy.  Credit Card to be used for office expenses by Assessor Kende, Mental Health Administrator Avis Rudner, and Superior Sloan with a limit of $3,000.  

The Board went into Executive Session at 7:25.

The meeting resumed at 7:35.

 

Meeting adjourned.

Next meeting January 21, 2014 at 6:00.
