Day Nursery Centennial Campaign continues with 100 for 100 effort

The Oak Park & River Forest Day Nursery, 1139 W. Randolph St., Oak Park, celebrates 100 years of service and continues its Centennial Campaign with a 100 for 100 drive. The Day Nursery, which started 100 years ago with three small children in a rented apartment is now a non-profit, licensed, and nationally accredited child care and pre-school organization that provides quality services to working families of our community. The Day Nursery, which is on its way to achieving its goal of earning $100,000 in donations to commemorate its 100 years of service, launches a communitywide effort, 100 for 100, to reach 100 or more new supporters (individuals, businesses and organizations). A gift will support the Day Nursery’s following goals: enhanced early childhood programming; building and grounds improvements on the Day Nursery’s landmark building; a stronger endowment to sustain the Day Nursery’s ability to provide quality childcare in a nurturing environment for years to come. The Day Nursery has standards in place to prepare all children for kindergarten, so that on the first day of school, they are ready to learn. The Day Nursery’s goal is to increase awareness and raise funds to sustain the Day Nursery’s mission of providing quality, nurturing child care by professional and caring staff in a safe environment for families in the community.
