It’s just a little spooky, ooky, creepy, and crawly! Families are invited to Halloween Fun Night after-hours, on Saturday, October 27 at the Dole Branch Library. The fun starts at 6:00 pm and runs through 7:30 pm. Enjoy games, crafts, stories, and refreshments best for ages 4 to 10 with an adult. Costumes encouraged, but not required. Register at the library, online, or call 708-386-9032 beginning October 12. This event is free and open to the public.

For adults, Mark Z. Danielewski, best-selling author of House of Leaves, will perform a theatrical reading of The Fifty Year Sword, a powerfully chilling novella – a ghost story for grown-up readers. This Writers at Wright event begins at 7:00 pm on Monday, October 15 at Unity Temple, 875 Lake Street, Oak Park.
