Oak Park career counselor and author Robin Sheerer will present a mini-workshop based on her new book, Thrive: The Entrepreneurial Path to a Great Life, on Thursday, Sept. 27, at 7 pm at Oak Park Public Library, 834 Lake Street. The mini-workshop is free and open to the public. Copies of Thrive will be available for sale and signing.

Robin Sheerer is passionate about helping people blossom in their work and lives, especially entrepreneurs.
The Sept. 27 mini-workshop is designed by Robin Sheerer to help you answer four important questions:

2. Is it possible to have work AND a life I love?
3. How do I stick with it for the long haul?
4. How do I keep it fresh and new?
Thrive provides a practical guide to designing work and a life you love, handling tough times, sticking with it, staying true to yourself, and learning the art of thriving. This is straight talk, with humor and heart, and laced with useful advice, true stories (including some of Robin Sheerer’s own experiences), and wisdom.
Sheerer began on her own self-employment path in 1981 by founding Career Enterprises Incorporated, offering Career and Professional Development services to individuals and companies. She provides one-on-one coaching, facilitates support groups, designs/leads workshops, and produces events. She is the author of the award-winning No More Blue Mondays/ Four Keys to Finding Fulfillment at Work. She has provided training and consulting to major companies including John Nuveen & Company, Allstate Business Insurance, and Fel-Pro. Her first book, No More Blue Mondays, won a gold Ben Franklin award in 2000.
