Improv Showcase Features Local Performers October 12

Local talent of all ages will perform during a special night of improvisational theater on Friday, October 12 at 6:30 pm at the Maze Branch Library.

Local talent of all ages will perform during a special night of improvisational theater hosted by Oak Park Public Library. Participants from the library’s improv workshops will ham-it-up onstage while the audience marvels at their feats of spontaneous action and comedy. The fun begins after-hours at 6:30 pm on Friday, October 12 at the Maze Branch Library, 845 Gunderson Avenue. Refreshments provided. Register in person, online at http://oppl.org/events/calendar, or by calling 708-386-4751. This all-ages event is free and open to the public.

The October 12 Improv Showcase will feature participants from the free improv workshops offered monthly at the Maze Branch Library. Specific workshops are designed for kids (ages 7 to 10), teens (ages 11 and up), and adults. All workshops include cause for hilarity and improvisational drama games that test quick-thinking skills. All skill levels are welcome, including those who have never acted before but always wanted to try and seasoned professionals who love moment-to-moment action.
