Oak Park River Forest beats Leyden 8 - 2 to bring their Varsity record to 8-2

OPRF is now 8 and 1 after a win over Leyden

Oak Park River Forest took on the Leyden Eagles today in a double-header with the first game being a varsity game won by OPRF 8-2 and the second game a JV game won by OPRF 15-2.

OPRF brought there number 4 ranking and 7-1 record into this game against a scrappy Leyden Team. Sr. Zack Weigel was the starting pitcher and he pitched 5.5 very good innings. Colin O’Brien came in to finish up the game.

The Huskies started cold but once the defense settled down they shut down Leyden.

OPRF travels to Leyden this upcoming Tuesday at 4:30. Next Saturday will be a big home Double-header agaisnt rival Hinsdale Central; first game at 12:00.
