DUI, $5,600 in Golf, Camping Equipment Stolen: Police Blotter

Oak Park police reports, July 20-31

WEDNESDAY, JULY 31

Warrant: DUI

Police charged Brittany Krawczyk, 23, of Chicago with a warrant out of Schiller Park for a DUI. She was arrested around 12:30 a.m. in the 400 block of North Austin Boulevard, processed and released on bond.

Window Shattered, Laptop, Bag Stolen

Someone broke the rear passenger window of a Honda in the 900 block of Home Avenue between 8 p.m. July 30 and 12:30 a.m. July 31 and stole a laptop and a Coach bag. The total estimated loss is $1,070, police said. 

TUESDAY, JULY 30

Stroller, Beer, Electronics Stolen From Car

Someone stole a baby stroller, a GPS unit, two cases of Corona, two iPod chargers and $2 in change from a car in the 700 block of Garfield between 7:30 p.m. July 29 and 8:40 a.m. July 30. The total estimated loss is $322, police said. 

$5,675 in Golf, Camping Equipment Stolen

Someone stole a set of men's golf clubs, golf shoes, two pairs of sunglasses, camping equipment and a window blinds sample box from a Lexus in the 900 block of Wesley Avenue between 8 p.m. July 29 and 8:30 a.m. July 30. The total estimated loss is $5,675, police said. 

Graffiti Found at CTA Station

Someone spray painted a section of a wall and five newspaper boxes at the CTA blue line station between 7 p.m. July 29 and about 3:30 a.m. July 30. The estimated cost of damage is $450, police said. 

Bike Thefts Reported

  • Someone stole a boys Spiderman bike from a yard in the 400 block of Berkshire Avenue between 10 p.m. July 28 and 10 a.m. July 30. The total estimated loss is $80, police said. 
  • Someone stole a girls bike from an open garage in the 1000 block of Kenilworth Avenue between 3:15 and 5 p.m. The total estimated loss is $300, police said. 

Spare Tires Stolen

  • Someone stole the spare wheel and tire from a Nissan in the 100 block of Home Avenue between 6 p.m. July 29 and 6:15 p.m. July 30. The total estimated loss is $100, police said. 
  • Someone stole the spare tire from a Honda parked in the 200 block of Washington Boulevard between 4:30 and 8 p.m. The total estimated loss is $250, police said. 

DUI Arrest

Police charged Sarah Reaves, 44, of the 800 block of Taylor Street in Oak Park with driving under the influence of alcohol around 5:15 p.m. in the 1000 block of South Ridgeland Avenue. She was processed and released on bond. 

SATURDAY, JULY 20

Laptop Stolen

Someone stole a laptop from the food distribution room at the Greater Chicago Food Depository in the 800 block of Lake Street around 9 a.m. The total estimated loss is $300, police said.
