Two Charged in Rash of River Forest Robberies

River Forest police believe the two Chicago residents were involved in four recent robberies in the area.

Police have charged two Chicago residents in connection to a recent rash of robberies in River Forest, police said Tuesday.

Tanara Andrus, 21, and Anzio Phillips, 18, both of Chicago, were arrested Saturday after a woman reported someone approached her about 3:15 p.m. in the 900 block of Bonnie Brae Place and "forcefully" took an iPhone from her hand, police said.

Police arrested Andrus and Phillips, who were in a gold Hyundai that matched the description of the car involved in previous robberies.
