2 Juveniles Charged With Retail Theft: Oak Park Police Blotter

Oak Park police reports, Oct. 8-9.

TUESDAY, OCT. 9

Leaf Blower Stolen

A leaf blower was stolen from a garage in the 600 block of Kenilworth sometime between Oct. 7 and Oct. 9. The estimated loss was $500.

Stolen Car Found

Police found a 2011 Nissan Altima that had been reported stolen in the 700 block of Burnham Drive in University Park at about 5 p.m. Police notified Hertz, which reported it stolen, of the recovery.

MONDAY, OCT. 8

Criminal Trespass

Steven T. Williams, 27, of the 4600 block of north Sheridan, was charged with criminal trespass at about 3:15 a.m. after he entered a home on the 600 block of south Maple, police said. Williams was held by police in lieu of bond.

Warrant Arrest

Alyse M. Ammons-Walker, 44, of the 1300 block of north Maywood Drive in Maywood, was cited by police at about 2:07 a.m. for driving with a suspended license. There was also an active warrant from the Matteson Police Department for deceptive practice. Ammons-Walker was held in lieu of bond.

Property Damage

Police arrested and charged Denita M. Rogers, 49, of the 700 block of south Central in Chicago, with criminal damage to property at about 3:35 p.m. in the 900 block of north Austin Boulevard. Rogers was held in lieu of bond.

Battery Stolen From Car

A battery was stolen from a Jeep Grand Cherokee in the 200 block of Lake at 3:34 p.m. The loss was estimated at $100.

2 Chicago Men Arrested for Retail Theft

Police reported that two male juveniles from Chicago were arrested and charged with retail theft at Old Navy, in the 400 block of north Harlem Avenue, at about 8:34 p.m. The two men were turned over to parents after they were processed.

Theft of Use of Property Arrest

Police reported that Gregory P. Sledge, 27, of the 1400 block of south Austin in Cicero, was arrested for the theft of use of property at about 10:55 a.m. in the 2600 block of south California in Chicago.

Man Arrested for Domestic Battery

Adam R. Schmidt, 28, of Berwyn, was charged with domestic battery at about 7:50 p.m. Schmidt was processed and held for a bond hearing.
