3 DUIs, Graffiti Painted on 8 Homes: Police Blotter

SUNDAY, MARCH 24
Aggravated DUI
Carl S. Jernigan, 52, of the 900 block of S. Monitor in Chicago, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence at 12:18 a.m. in the 5900 block of Fillmore.
Graffiti on 8 Homes
Eight residents in the 700 blocks of Linden and Columbian reported black and gold spray paint on their garages, cars and fences. Police said the graffiti was not gang-related. The estimated damage was $3,850.

Car Burglaries
A Garmin GPS unit and garage door opener were stolen from a car in the 0-100 block of W. Lake Street between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Someone broke the driver's side window of a 2001 VW Beetle. The estimated loss was $375.
Video surveillance showed a man enter three parked cars in the 600 block of N. Kenilworth at about 1:30 a.m. The man stole an I-Pass transponder from one car, but nothing was reported missing from the other two.

DUI Accident
Linda Villanueva-Mayfield, 42, of the 1000 block of Randolph in Oak Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after crashing her car in the 200 block of Washington at 12:54 a.m.
SATURDAY, MARCH 23
Garage Burglary
Someone entered an unlocked garage in the 500 block of S. Cuyler, then broke a window to a car. Nothing appeared to be missing, but there was $300 damage done.
Warrant Arrest
Ebony P. Dunmore, 32, of the 11300 block of S. Eggleston in Chicago. was booked on an active warrant from Richton Park following a traffic stop in Oak Park.
Car Damaged
Someone scratched the driver's side door of a Ford Taurus parked in the 700 block of N. Harlem and also pushed in the locking mechanism. The estimated damage was $250.
Aggravated DUI
Ricardo Perez-Vieyra, 31, of the 1900 block of W. Division in Melrose Park, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol in the 100 block of Lake Street. Police said he also had an active warrant in Cook County for aggravated DUI. He was held for bond hearings.
