4 Burglaries Reported Oct. 22, 23 in Oak Park

Oak Park police report rash of burglaries on Lombard, Elmwood, Harvey and Taylor between Oct. 22 and 23.

Wednesday, October 23

Burglaries, Theft Reported on Lombard, Elmwood

8-11 a.m.
Two men in their 20s wearing black hoodies broke into a home in the 900 block of North Lombard Avenue between 8 and 11 a.m. and stole two cameras, a computer, an iPad, a Beatles game and a Nintendo Wii. The offenders then kicked in the side service door to the garage and stole two bikes. The total estimated loss is $5,250, police said. 

5 p.m. Oct. 22-11 a.m. Oct. 23
Someone stole two chaise chairs and a table from a yard in the 1100 block of North Elmwood Avenue between 5 p.m. Oct. 22 and 11 a.m. Oct. 23. The total estimated loss is $1,500, police said. 

Tuesday, October 22

Burglaries Reported on Taylor, Harvey and Lombard

8:45 a.m.-1 p.m.
Someone forced in the locked side door of a home in the 200 block of North Taylor Avenue and stole three laptops, a digital camera and cash between 8:45 a.m. and about 1 p.m. The total estimated loss is $4,250, police said. 

9:30 a.m.-12 p.m. 
Someone forced in the back door of a home in the 200 block of North Harvey Avenue and stole jewelry, an iPod, a backpack, a camera and two laptops between 9:30 a.m. and noon. The total estimated loss is $2,990, police said. 

9:45 a.m.-12:35 p.m.
Someone used a pry tool to break into a home in the 200 block of South Lombard Avenue between 9:45 a.m. and 12:35 p.m. and stole two cameras, jewelry and a computer. The offenders then ransacked the garage and stole two bikes. The estimated loss is unknown, police said.
