Chicago Teen Caught Trying to Steal PhonePolice charged a 14-year-old Chicago male with theft after an employee at a coffee shop in the 100 block of Harrison Street saw him steal a cell phone and try to leave the business about 7:35 p.m. He was processed and released to his parents.
Marijuana Arrest at OPRFHSPolice charged a 17-year-old Oak Park male with marijuana possession about 12:20 p.m. at Oak Park and River Forest High School. He was given a local ordinance citation after police found two grams of marijuana in his possession and released to his parents.
Bikes StolenSomeone stole two bikes from a stairwell in the 100 block of Washington Boulevard between 4 and 6:45 p.m. The total estimated loss is $700, police said.
Wallet Stolen in LibrarySomeone stole a woman's wallet from her unattended bag at the Oak Park and River Forest Public Library. The total estimated loss is $15, police said.
Bike Stolen From GarageSomeone stole a $319 bike from an unlocked garage in the 700 block of South Harvey Avenue between 10:15 p.m. Sept. 29 and 6:15 a.m. Sept. 30.

iPod Stolen From Gym LockerSomeone stole an iPod Touch from a teen's gym locker at Oak Park and River Forest High School between 11 and 11:10 a.m. The total estimated loss is $300, police said.
Car ScratchedSomeone scratched the front quarter panel of a car in the 400 block of South Ridgeland Avenue between 1:45 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. The estimated cost of damage is $250, police said.
