Tuesday, November 5

DUI

Police charged Deborah Brown, 53, of the 100 block of North Taylor Avenue in Oak Park, with driving under the influence of alcohol about 1:15 a.m. in the 400 block of South Boulevard. 

Monday, November 4

Teen Faces 5 Burglary Charges 

A 16-year-old Chicago male was arrested for a residential burglary in the 
1000 block of Fair Oaks Avenue about 11 a.m. After further investigation, he was charged with five counts of residential burglary. He was processed and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center, police said. 

Two of the burglaries the teen is charged with were in the 700 block of North Cuyler Avenue and the 800 block of North Harvey Avenue between 8:15 and 2 p.m.  

Police said an iPad was stolen from the home on Cuyler between 8:15 a.m. and 1:40 p.m. and two laptops, an iPod, an external hard drive, an iPhone and three other cell phones were stolen from the home on Harvey between 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Battery Arrest at OPRF

Oak Park juvenile was arrested for battery about noon at Oak Park and River Forest High School. He was charged and released to his mother. 

iPhone Stolen at OPRF

Someone stole an iPhone from a backpack at Oak Park and River Forest High School between 1:15 and 1:30 p.m. The total estimated loss is $300, police said. 

DUI

Police charged Jennifer Santos-Cabrera, 22, of Streamwood, with driving under the influence of alcohol in the 1100 block of South Oak Park Avenue about 12:45 a.m. 

Sunday, November 3

Obstruction Arrest

Police charged Christopher Riley, 18, of Waukegan, with obstructing identification about 4:15 p.m. in the 500 block of North East Avenue. He was held on bond. 

Saturday, November 2

Warrant: Suspended License

Police charged James Taylor, 31, of Akron, OH, with a warrant out of Will County for failure to appear for driving on a suspended license. He was arrested in the 400 block of Lenox Street about 4:45 a.m. 

Vandalism on Harvey, Ridgeland

Someone broke the driver's side window of a van in the 900 block of North Ridgeland Avenue between 8 p.m Nov. 1 and 10 a.m. Nov. 2. The total estimated loss is $150, police said. 

Someone used a "BB-type" projectile to break the front window of a home in the 900 block of North Harvey Avenue between midnight and 10 a.m. The estimated cost of damage is $300, police said. 

Bike, Backpack Stolen From Garage

Someone stole a bike and a backpack containing clothing from an unlocked garage in the 500 block of South Humphrey Avenue between 7 p.m. Nov. 1 and 7 a.m. Nov. 2. The total estimated loss is $300, police said. 

Friday, November 1

5 Burglaries Reported Nov. 1

700 block of North Cuyler Avenue, 8:15 a.m.-1:40 p.m.
Someone used a pry tool and "brute" force to break into a home in the 700 block of North Cuyler Avenue and stole an iPad between 8:15 a.m. and 1:40 p.m. The total estimated loss is $1,000, police said. 

300 block of Home Avenue, 2-2:30 p.m.
Someone used a pry tool to break into a home in the 300 block of Home Avenue and stole jewelry and a laptop between 2 and 2:30 p.m. The loss is unknown.

100 block of Garfield Avenue, 8 a.m.-3:45 p.m.
Someone used "brute" force to break into a home in the 100 block of Garfield Avenue and stole a 42-inch TV, an Xbox 360, three games, earrings, a laundry basket and cash between 8 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. The total estimated loss is $1,400, police said. 

800 block of North Harvey Avenue, 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
Someone used "brute" force to break into a home in the 800 block of North Harvey Avenue and stole two laptops, an iPod, an external hard drive, an iPhone and three other cell phones between 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. The total estimated loss is $2,350, police said. 

800 block of Wesley Avenue, 1:30-10:10 p.m.
Someone broke into an apartment in the 800 block of Wesley Avenue and stole $20 in change and a computer from the bedroom between 1:30 and 10:10 p.m. The total estimated loss is $270, police said. 

Woman Steals $245 in Baby Formula

A Dominick's security officer saw a woman in her 30s steal 14 containers of Enfamil baby formula from the store and leave in a red Buick driven by a man in a dark jacket and a skull cap about 2 p.m. The total estimated loss is $245, police said. 

Bike, Cash Stolen From Garage

Someone stole a bike and $10 in coins from an unlocked garage in the 300 block of South Cuyler Avenue between 8 p.m. Oct. 31 and 7:15 a.m. Nov. 1. The total estimated loss is $610, police said. 

Bike Stolen

Someone stole a $310 bike in the 800 block of Wenonah Avenue between 6 p.m. Oct. 31 and 3:30 p.m. Nov. 1. 

Vandalism on Humphrey

Someone damaged the front windshield of a Chevy Blazer in the 100 block of South Humphrey Avenue between 8 p.m. Oct. 31 and 8 a.m. Nov. 1. The total estimated loss is $250, police said. 

Thursday, October 31

Burglary Arrest

Police charged Michael Pryor, 18, of Chicago, with residential burglary about 1:30 p.m. in the 5200 block of Washington Boulevard. Police said he is accused of an Oct. 22 burglary in the 200 block of North Harvey Avenue, in which a camera, laptops and jewelry were stolen between 9:30 and 10 a.m. He was given a Nov. 8 court date and held on bond.
