51-Year-Old Charged After Pulling Fire Alarm: Oak Park Police Blotter

Oak Park police reports, Jan. 30-31.

THURSDAY, JAN. 31

Assault Arrest

Alex L. Carraminana, 21, of the 900 block of Wenonah, was arrested and charged with assault. Carraminana was issued a March court date and released after posting bond.

Theft Arrest

Two male juveniles from Oak Park were arrested and charged with a theft that occurred in the 200 block of north Scoville around 4:57 p.m. in the 800 block of Austin. Both were later released to guardians.

Criminal Trespassing to Property

A man was reported seen in the 1100 block of south Oak Park around 7:16 a.m. emerging from the rear basement stairwell of a building. A witness reported seeing a fire there later which they then put out.

Warrant Arrest

Gregory Anderson, 41, of the 3700 block of Butterfield Road in Bellwood was arrested on an active warrant from Illinois State Police for driving with a suspended license. He was held in lieu of bond.

Felony Disorderly Conduct Arrest

Janice L. Conklin, 51, of the 600 block of Elgin in Forest Park was arrested and charged with felony disorderly conduct around 12:30 a.m. after pulling a fire alarm in the 500 block of south Maple Avenue. Conklin was held for a bond hearing.

Attempted Theft of Gas Pump

A gas station attendant working in the 100 block of Chicago Avenue around 8:30 p.m. reported seeing a man in a gold Pontiac Grand Prix attempt to remove the gas pump at the handle. When the employee approached him, the offender got in his car and drove off.

Theft Reported

An unattended T-Mobile G2X cell phone was reported stolen from a locker in a men's locker room in the 200 block of south Marion around 5:20 p.m. The estimated loss was $250.
