Burglar Steals United Airlines Uniform From Car and More: Oak Park Police Blotter

Burglar Now Has Uniform

Police reported that a car was burglarized on the 900 block of north Austin Boulevard between 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 23 and 7:45 a.m. on Sept. 24. Stolen was a purple bag containing a Sprint cell phone, an Apple iPod Touch, a cell phone charger, United Airlines rain gear, a United Airlines uniform and electronic swipe card valued at $970.

Man Charged with Violating Protection Order

David Bahena, 38, of the 3000 block of south East Avenue in Berwyn, was arrested and later charged with violating an order of protection at about 10:45 a.m. Bahena was issued a court date of Sept. 27 and held for a bond hearing.

What Did the Planter Do to You?

Police learned that someone threw four planters owned by the village of Oak Park down a stairwell on the 0-100 block of Washington sometime between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. shattering them. The loss was estimated at $120.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 20

Bike Stolen From Rack

Police learned that a River Forest resident was the victim of a theft on the 1100 block of North Boulevard overnight on Sept. 20. The victim's bike, a silver and red Schwinn Mountain Bike was stolen from a bike rack by removing the front wheel. The loss was estimated at $200.
