Aggravated Battery, Designer Purse, Concert Tickets Stolen: Police Blotter

Oak Park police reports, July 21-24

WEDNESDAY, JULY 24

Louie Purse, Concert Tickets Stolen

Someone broke the rear passenger window of a Chevy Equinox in the 100 block of Chicago Avenue around 9:30 p.m. and stole a Louis Vuitton purse containing a Coach wallet and two concert tickets. The total estimated loss is $675, police said. 

Meat Stealer on Roosevelt 

A woman in her 40s was seen stealing several meat products and cans of coffee from a store in the 6200 block of Roosevelt Road around 4 p.m. Police said the woman left the store without paying and drove east on Roosevelt in a Chevy van. The total estimated loss is $150, police said.

Drug Paraphernalia Possession

Police charged Mark Fiore, 51, of Mount Prospect with possession of drug paraphernalia around 2:45 p.m. in the 400 block of Madison Street. He was processed and released on bond.

Aggravated Battery Arrest

Police charged Jamie Robinson, 37, of Glen Ellyn with aggravated battery for a July 1 incident. He was processed and held on bond. 

iPhone Stolen

Someone stole an iPhone 5 in the 500 block of South Maple Avenue between 10:30 p.m. and about 2 a.m. The total estimated loss is $300. 

Watch, Xbox Stolen

Someone broke into an apartment in the 1000 block of Lake Street through an unlocked window and stole a debit card, a Movado watch and two Xbox game controllers between 2 and 7 a.m. The total estimated loss is $700, police said. 

Bike Thefts

  • Someone stole a men's mountain bike from an unlocked garage in the 500 block of Washington Boulevard between 5 and 5:50 p.m. The total estimated loss is $50, police said. 
  • Someone stole a men's bike and a bike helmet from an unlocked garage in the 900 block of Forest Avenue between 8:30 p.m. July 23 and 8 a.m. July 24. The total estimated loss is $515, police said. 

Kids Arrested for Bike Theft

Police arrested two Chicago boys, 15 and 8, for stealing a bike from a 9-year-old boy in the 300 block of South Taylor Avenue. They were arrested in the 100 block of Chicago Avenue around 6:30 p.m. 

TUESDAY, JULY 23

Bike Theft Arrest

Police charged David William-Bangs, 21, of Berwyn with bike theft around 9:15 a.m. in the 900 block of South East Avenue. He was given an Aug. 26 court date and held on bond. 

MONDAY, JULY 22

Concrete Thrown Through Window

Someone threw a piece of concrete through a window at a home in the 700 block of Hayes Avenue between 8 and 9 p.m. The estimated cost of damage is $500, police said. 

Stroller Stolen

Someone stole a stroller from a porch in the 300 block of Linden Avenue between 8 p.m. July 21 and 6 p.m. July 22. The total estimated loss is $500, police said. 

Wallet Stolen

Someone stole a wallet from a backpack hanging on a chair in the 100 block of North Marion Street between 3 and 5 p.m. The total estimated loss is $45, police said. 

SUNDAY, JULY 21

Bike Stolen

Someone stole a $120 men's bike from a rack in the 100 block of Erie Street between 1:45 and 6:20 p.m.
