Another Status Hearing Set for Robert Gaskill

River Forest resident due back in court in August.

Robert Gaskill, a 64-year-old River Forest resident accused of felony sexual abuse charges, is expected back in court next month for another status hearing.

After a brief discussion with attorneys from the bench, Cook County Circuit Court Judge Noreen Love set that date for Aug. 29.

Gaskill was in court for Monday's brief hearing, surrounded by family and friends. He remains out on bond throughout the proceedings.

Attorneys from neither side would comment after the end of the hearing; there is no indication when a trial date will be set.

Gaskill, a foster parent and former publishing executive, was indicted in February with two felony counts of predatory sexual assault against a child after allegations surfaced earlier that month that he'd abused two young girls in his care for more than a decade.

He - 10 percent of $250,000 - and remains free on electronic monitoring, according to a spokesman for the Cook County Sheriff's Police.
