BBs Break Windows on Cars, Business: Oak Park Police Blotter

TUESDAY, OCT. 2
Arrested on Active Warrant
Timothy Bradford, 47, of the 4500 block of west Maypole in Chicago, was arrested on a active warrant from the Cook County Sheriff's Office for violation of his probation with a burglary at about 2:40 a.m. in the 100 block of Superior. Bradford was processed and held for a bond hearing.
Home Burglarized
A home in the 400 block of Forest Avenue was burglarized between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Police reported that a Dell laptop, a necklace, an LG laptop and about $25 in coins were stolen with an estimated value of $1,425.

Vehicle Found 2 Years After Reported Stolen
Police found a gold 2005 Nissan Sentra that was reported stolen in River Grove on Oct. 1, 2010. The Nissan was found in the 1100 block of north Lombard at about 4:06 a.m.

BB Breaks Car Windows
Police reported that a BB-type projectile was responsible for breaking the front and back driver's side windows on two separate Oak Park resident's cars in the area around the 1100 block of Harvey between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Bike Stolen From Garage
A resident's 3700SD men's bike was reported stolen between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. from a garage in the 1100 block of Highland. The bike's worth was estimated at $584.70.
Park District Property Damaged
Robert T. Duff, 42, of the 2400 block of north Sacramento in Chicago, was charged with criminal damage to government supported property and criminal trespass to real property. Police stopped him at about 10:17 p.m. in the 200 block of Home. Duff was processed and held for a bond hearing.
Woman Arrested on Active Warrants
Sandra A. Dunbar, 25, of the 800 block of north Austin Boulevard, was located by police after causing a disturbance at Cook County's 4th District Courthouse. Further investigation found that Dunbar was currently wanted on warrants from Oak Park and Forest Park, both for assault. Dunbar was processed and held in lieu of bonds.
EARLIER IN SEPTEMBER
Sticker Stolen
A registration sticker was reported stolen off a Hyundai Santa Fe sometime between Sept. 4 and Sept. 18 by an Oak Park resident in the 100 block of Forest Place.
Car Damaged by Sharp Object
An Oak Park resident reported to police that their vehicle was damaged while parked in a rear lot in the 1000 block of Randolph overnight on Sept. 27. Deep scratches were made in the paint of the vehicle, the resident reported. The damage was estimated at $800.
BB Breaks Window
A business in the 6800 block of Roosevelt Road told police that someone had damaged a 3-by-5-foot thermal pane window, possibly with a BB-type projectile overnight Sept. 27. The damage was estimated at $3,000.
