Berwyn Teen Charged with Possessing, Altering Revolver
Police apprehend Michael Henry after a brief foot chase, find loaded gun and marijuana.
Three felony gun charges were leveled Oct. 13 against an 18-year-old from Berwyn who dropped a bag containing a loaded .32 caliber revolver with scratched out serial numbers during a foot chase with police, authorities said.
Police spotted the teenager, identified as Michael R. Henry, riding his bicycle, without a headlight, around 12:30 a.m. in the 900 block of South Lombard Avenue and attempted to stop him. Henry dropped the bicycle, threw down his backpack and took off when he saw police.
A very brief foot chase ensued and when they caught up with him, officers noticed he did not have the pack they saw on him initially; it was found near the spot where the chase began.
