TUESDAY, JULY 23

Someone stole a blue, $870 men's bike from a gate in the 200 block of North Scoville Avenue around 1:20 p.m.

Someone cut the cable lock to steal a men's bike that was secured to a grill in the 500 block of South Cuyler Avenue between about 2:30 and 2:50 p.m. The total estimated loss is $253, police said. 

SUNDAY, JULY 21

Someone stole a parking sign and the boy’s bike attached to it in the 600 block of Washington Boulevard between midnight and about 7 a.m. The total estimated loss is $275, police said.

Police charged Javonte Hodges, 19, of Chicago after he was seen stealing a bike from a backyard around 8:45 p.m. in the 700 block of North Grove Avenue.

Someone stole a $120 bike from a rack in the 0-100 block of Erie Court between 1:45 and 6:20 p.m.

SATURDAY, JULY 20

Someone stole a $200 boy’s bike from an open garage in the 200 block of South Oak Park Avenue between 7 p.m. July 18 and 6 p.m. July 20.

FRIDAY, JULY 19

A bald man in his forties was seen stealing a $100 bike in the 6400 block of North Avenue around 8:35 p.m.
