Chicago Cops Issue Alert for 'Green Line Slugger'

Police seeking man wanted in connection to physical altercation on train that left a passenger with extensive facial injuries.

Chicago Police in the Central First District have issued a community alert on Saturday seeking information about a man who allegedly beat a passenger on the CTA Green Line.

According to the alert, there was a verbal argument between the suspect and the passenger on a Green Line train that escalated into a physical fight.

Police said the suspect punched the passenger numerous times in the face and head, causing extensive injuries to the passenger’s face.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early twenties, five-feet-five-inches to five-feet-eight-inches tall, with a medium complexion, brown eyes, and black hair worn in a short hair style.

Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect or who may have seen the altercation to contact the Central Area Detectives Bureau at 321-747-8380. Reference report number HX-144364.
